Hidden at the far northern tip of Playa Pelada, Secret Pirate Beach is the kind of place where you can escape the world and enjoy the rare treasure of having an entire beach to yourself.

Here’s how you can find this slice of paradise:

Route 1: The Beach Adventure

If the tide is low, you’re in for a scenic journey along the shoreline. Starting from Cali Bike in Guiones, head to the north Guiones pass to Pelada. From there, follow the beach under the iconic La Luna Restaurant and keep heading north. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see the massive rock guarding the ocean—it’s your cue that you’ve discovered the secret pirate hideaway!

Route 2: The Jungle Path

If it’s high tide, no worries—you can take the adventurous Jungle Path No. 1 instead. Begin just north of Gabi’s or La Brasa Restaurant, and follow the trail to the tennis courts in Pelada. Once there, pass by La Luna, wind your way around the area, and head further north along the beach until you stumble upon the mysterious and tranquil Secret Pirate Beach.
